What Household Items Can A Cat Eat?-Specifically?

There is a black and white cat that sometimes comes by my house. It's seemingly hungry and it seems to grow thinner with each visit. My dad is a bit paranoid about animals except fish -.-", so I cant really just walk right on to ShopRite and buy a can of cat food for it. I was wondering what household items I could possibly feed it, and how much milk is safe for it to drink. Oh and how do I tell if it's a guy or girl??
Answers:
call your local animal control.

if this cat is not immunised and you start feeding it, it will not go away and you are risking the health of all other cats and dogs in the area - it could be carrying a number of infectious diseases.
.
tinned tuna and salmon, chicken (cooked and raw), beef (cooked and raw). If it is starving it will eat anything.
Many Cats are lactose intolerant, so if you want to give it milk, maybe dilute it with some water.
Dontl give it milk, just water. If you start to feed it, you're likely to have a dozen cats hanging around. Chicken is a good food for them, boiled or baked is by far better than fried. A good dry cat food would be the best thing for it though.
Do you have any tuna? It seems to be a feline favorite. And I give my cat milk from time to time, perhaps once a week or every other week.
It's really not good to feed a cat "household" items. Cats need to have cat food which is specifically formulated for them. Human food, canned or cooked, does not contain taurine which is absolutely essential for the cat's health and well-being. So most things you would eat are no-no's for the cat.

When you prepare a chicken for the household if you can chop up a chicken wing into three pieces or so, give the liver, heart and gizzard from the chicken to the cat that is one of the most nutritional meals it could have - all this must be RAW of course so the taurine is not destroyed. There is bone, lean muscle meat and skin in the wing, the heart and gizzard are great sources for taurine. So it is a natural and balanced meal for the cat. Cow's milk is not of much nutritional value to the cat and you might give a small amount.

If you can see testicles on the cat it is, of course, male and if you don't see any it is female.
tuna (not more than once a week), beef, chicken cats are canivorous so any meat products will do...good luck possibly if you can buy it a bag of cat food also...that way you can put out a dish of food for the poor kitty
It may have worms. Don't feed it cow's milk it will most likely get an upset tummy from that.
If I were you, I'd feed it without my dad knowing, if it's getting thinner it means it's not ever getting fed.
Keep in mind that if you feed this cat, it will attach itself to your house and in effect become "your" cat. If your dad is paranoid about animals, then that might cause a problem. I would recomend finding a no-kill shelter in the area (one that doesn't euthanize %26lt;sp>) and seeing if they have space for it.
TALK TO YOUR DAD UNTIL YOU WEAR HIM DOWN AND ADOPT THE POOR CAT. Offer to do extra chores, or study more, or whatever it takes. The cat needs to go for a vet check up and shots and dewormed. You'll need to get a carry case to put him in, and call around to compare vets. good luck P.S. why can't you buy a bag of dry food ($2) at shoprite and hide it in the house?
