What happens if I fed my cat chocolate?

I have fed my cat a tiny bit of chocolate-(white), and she likes it? What would happern if I gave her more, because I know that dogs get diarohear if they have chocolate?
Answers:
Most chocolate contains lecithin, which I know can be fatal to dogs (it's cumulative, like lead) Not sure if it would have the same effect on a cat but I would not risk it.

There are a number of artificial sweeteners which can cause kidney failure in animals, and sugar is bad for them anyway.
In fact, the rule is to avoid giving animals any type of processed food unless it is specially made for animals.

If your cat has a sweet tooth, offer her slivers of fresh fruit such as strawberries, canteloupe (pawpaw) sweet apples or peaches - I had a couple of cats, brother and sister, as it happens, who loved fruit, especially canteloupe and peaches.
THIS IS BAD FOR HER , Dont do it they cant handle it in there system, Same with dogs, You can get special chocholate for dogs from pet shop but i dont know about cats,She will also may be sick and dioreah, Make sure she has water avaliable or milk
YOU WILL KILL IT but thats gd i HATE CATS
It doesn't make sense to feed a cat any type of processed sugar. Without even researching, I'd say it's best to not feed it to her ever again.
it could turn into a KIT KAT...
your cat will be sick, my little boy dropped abit off his chocolate bar on the floor the other day and my cat being greedy decided to eat it, within a few hours she was throwing up!

if cats could eat chocolate do you not think that there would be KIT CATS for them??

please be responsible and just stick to feeding your cat the right food. it might really hurt her belly and she may be in pain and you wont even know..
no kind of chocolate is good for cats or dogs it can act as a poision in their systems
I'm sure you'll find out in a couple of hours anyway!

My cats eat all sorts- cheesy wotsits, egg, yoghurt, sikh kebab, chicken curry...

They helped themselves to all these things i hasten to add! Any food left unattended and they'll have it!

(Before i get lynched by a load of cat lovers by the way- they get fed more than enough cat food and biscuits, and they don't have worms.)
You should NEVER feed an animal chocolate. Chocolate can be fatal to animals.Theobromine, a component of chocolate, is the toxic compound in chocolate. (Caffeine is also present in chocolate, but in much smaller amounts than Theobromine.)
Theobromine's effect on the body:
Central Nervous System (CNS) stimulant
Cardiovascular stimulant
Increase blood pressure (mild)
Nausea and vomiting

Unsweetened (baker's) chocolate contains 8-10 times the amount of Theobromine as milk chocolate. Semi-sweet chocolate falls roughly in between the two for Theobromine content. White chocolate contains Theobromine, but in such small amounts that Theobromine poisoning is unlikely. Caffeine is present in chocolate, but less than Theobromine.

Quick Guide for Theobromine levels in different types of chocolate:
From The Merck Veterinary Manual, 8th ed

Unsweetened (Baker's) chocolate = 390-450 mg Theobromine per oz chocolate
Milk chocolate = 44-60 mg Theobromine per oz chocolate
Semi-sweet is a bit less than half of the Theobromine content as Baker's chocolate. The toxic dose of Theobromine (and caffeine) for pets is 100-200mg/kg. (1 kiliogram = 2.2 pounds). However, various reports by the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) have noted problems at doses much lower than this - i.e. 20mg/kg.
Don't feed it anymore! It is not a pet food - for any pet at such!

Even though I hate cats, I wouldn't want to hurt it.

- Good luck.
It will die, like your dog will die. Chocolate is not good for them. It will kill them. Never give chocolate to animals - they are not people and it is not appropriate to feed them people food.
white chocolate is NOT bad for animals. i know for dogs white chocolate can be fed upto 250 oz per pound of bodyweight before it will harm them. im not sure if thats the same for cats or not, but baking chocolate or cocoa is what you need to worry about.
Chocolate is a laxative and cats don't have the enzymes to digest it
Nor do they brush their teeth so you might have tooth decay and diahorrea and a cat with a sore tummy who not happy
Why would you do that to your cat?
your cat can die or get really sick.
