What could be wrong with my cat?

My cat is 11 yrs. old and over the last few months, she developed swelling above her right eye, some red patches (not sure if these are sores) inside her ears with some swelling of the ears as well, and it sounds like her nose is congested when she breathes. She doesn't appear to be in distress. She is eating the same as always. Someone told me she might have leukemia. Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Answers:
Take her to the vet.
Doesn't sound like leukemia. Could be an allergy, an abscess, a foreign body reaction, or cancer.

Only a vet can tell Please take her to one as soon as possible.
Kitty needs to see a vet.

Feline Leukemia is a viral disease that causes the immune system to become weak. There aren't really any symptoms of the disease, per say, but rather secondary infections that produce symptoms because of the weak immune system. It's always possible that it could be Leukemia, especially if she isn't vaccinated and goes outside.

If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say it's an ear infection or growth of some kind in the ear canal. Could even be ear mites. However, the only way to be sure exactly what it is, is to bring kitty to the vet.

*edit*
If kitty hasn't been with you her whole life, and you don't know her vaccination history, than a blood test for FIV might not be accurate. There is no current test that can distingush between a cat who has FIV and one that has been vaccinated for it. A test can tell you if she has Leukemia, though.
Feline leukemia and FIV, the feline version of AIDS are closely related viruses that compromise the immune system. This can produce a whole host of symptoms including systemic reactions that mimic allergies. A simple blood test at the vet will rule out both, and she can be checked for skin or ear mites, infections, and other symptoms that might help with a diagnosis and treatment.
I would immediatly take her to a vet. Cause it could be very serious. By the way, it is your responsibility to take her to the vet.
