My cat jumped up onto the dog kennel and got his leg stuck in one of the holes. He was hanging there screaming, and by the time I got to him he detached himself and ran and hid. It's been 3 days, he limps, and cries when you touch his leg or pick him up. He eats and used the potty normally. He seems to sleep a lot. I've tried using ice on it. And it doesn't seem to be swollen or hot. Today, he's been putting a small amount of pressure on it, otherwise he just hops around. Could it be sprained or fractured? Is there anything I can do for him at home that would help?

It could be a bad sprain or a dislocation. However, if he's started putting a little weight on it, then he may have just had a sprain. Putting ice on it was good (as long as you put a towel or something between the ice and him); and you could alternate ice on for 20 minutes, off for 20 minutes and then alternate with warm packs. Also, restricting his movement to a small area will help him recover sooner. If he doesn't show a LOT of improvement in the neaxt day or two, though, I'd get him to the vet. DO NOT GIVE HIM TYLENOL, IBUPROFEN OR ASPIRIN!
V-E-T. If he cries and is limping, he is in pain. It could be dislocated, sprainted, fractured. Only the vet and probably an xray will be able to tell the extent of the injury. But he is in pain so I would get to the doctor asap.

It's very possible the leg is fractured. Swelling, heat and inflammation are only immediate signs of the tissue damage.
Cats are STUPENDOUS at hiding pain. Only on wednesday I met a 6 week old kitten with a SLIGHT limp - even the vets weren't expecting to see the complete fracture that was on the xray. It wasn't even the 'greenstick' fracture that growing animals usually get - his femur was snapped clean in half. He was putting his foot to the groud - cats are rock hard.
Your poor cat. She needs medical attention and is relying on her owner to provide it - I hope you do.

Please take your cat to the vet. Even though the leg may look normal to you, there is no way to find out how bad the leg is damaged unless u take him to the vet.Your cat has already been suffering in pain for 3 days so dont delay, bring him to the vet ASAP. There might be infection setting in, u might not know.
