What helps cure cat dandruff?

My cat's skin is dry and I was wondering if fish oil in her food would help or some type of spray I could buy?
Answers:
A high-quality canned food and regular brushing should make a big difference. I started my cats on Wellness a few years ago, and their coats improved dramatically.
Selecting a good commercial pet food:

If your cat is older (8+ years) see a vet for a checkup and 'senior' or 'geriatric' blood tests, to make sure your cat is healthy - sometimes health issues can cause dry skin %26 dandruff.

If your cat is young and don't see a change with good food %26 brushing, a vet checkup may be in order - there are some tiny parasites that can cause dandruff. http://www.dvmnewsmagazine.com/dvm/artic...
Fish oil is a very good addition to your cat's food. You may also try changing her food completely. A bad coat can be a sign of low nutrition. Recently, I started giving a cat (who can't eat Innova EVO because of allergies) a Wellness salmon based food. Amazingly, it smells really good and has a lot of fish oil in the kibble itself.
my cat has dandruff to and the fish oil will help it might take some time but it will
Try using a different shampoo when you bath them. Or go to your vet to see if it's poor nutrtion.
