Answers:
I do not know where ticks lay their eggs but I have had many experiences with them in the past. A couple years ago, during the summer between 5th and 6th grade, I was over at my friends house in their back yard. They live in a fairly wooded area and that is where most ticks come from. You can get a lot of ticks on you in just a few hours. I had at least fifteen ticks on one foot by the end of the day. The bites (which are very much like mosquito bites) didn't go away for a few months. If you live in a wooded area, then that is where they came from. If you don't live in a wooded area then you should contact a exterminating service or a vet. If you do happen to live in a wooded area I would recommend getting it sprayed with some kind of tick spray. The one dangerous thing about ticks are that they can carry lime disease.
They come from the trees.

EDIT: Hey some of them do. My borther used to play outisde where the was HUGE trees. [He played underneaqth them too]. He'd come home and everyday my mom would have to pluck off at least 3 ticks from his head.
Ticks are blood-sucking parasites that are often found in freshly mown grass, where they will rest themselves at the tip of a blade so as to attach themselves to a passing animal. It is a common misconception that the tick can jump from the plant onto the host. Physical contact is the only method of transportation for ticks.

The females lay their eggs underneath leaf litter in early spring, and die. Each female lays approximately 3,000 eggs. The eggs hatch later in the summer, beginning the two-year cycle anew.
they lay thier eggs in grass usually they get picked up by pet cats and dogs they are a blood sucking parasite,,and can infect our pets,,
