We got a new cat and they don't know for certain how old she is. How can you tell?

We just got a new cat from the humane league yesterday and they said that she is probably one but they are not sure because she was a stray. How can I tell how old she is?
Answers:
You can usually tell by the weight in younger cats. If the cat is about a year you have a good chance of determaining by the weight how old it is. You can find weight charts online.
By the teeth, the vets can tell. Not much else you can personally do other than trust the HL. They're probably close.
When you bring her to the vet they will give you an estimated age which will be pretty close to her actual age.
check behind her ears. it should have a number
