What can i do to stop cats using my vegatable patch as a toilet?

Answers:
I have found that a cross bow works nicely...
Sprinkling ammonia on the soil helps. They hate the smell.
Put bark there! Cats hate the smell of the stuff!

This is also good for protecting the root of the vegetables!
don't know
.
DONT GIVE THEM THE VEGE PATCH.
pepper dust. they hate it. you will have to reapply it after rain though.
Use moth balls. Cats hate the smell and won't go anywhere near them. Their cheap and work very well. Good luck!
buy a bloody big vivious dog, and chain it to the middle of your veggie patch
Plant your vegetables elsewhere.
Are they your cats or a neighbors? Sprinkle some cayenne
pepper around the vegetable patch and if you see them
anywhere near the vegetable patch you could spray them
with water to teach them not to even go near it.
There are deterrents, such as "Scoot", in garden shops.
They aren't keen on strong smells as already noted - orange peel is one possibility - cats aren't keen on citrus. Pepper dust is another
The best deterrent is to get yourself a big bruiser of a tom cat - he'll use other people's gardens, clear the neighbourhood of dogs and won't tolerate other cats on his property! I know, because we had one - he was known locally as "The pit-bull terror cat"!
A good pellet rifle would help. if you live in the country then maybe a 22.
Orange peels is a great way to keep them away - they can't abide the smell! We had a problem with cats, and now we don't - just remember to refresh the peel every so often to keep the smell strong and fresh!
A water-sprinkler on a timer set to go off every ten minutes.
Works perfect- cats and dogs.
I heard that cats hate the smell of orange peel.
Hi
Just remember when you put stuff down to deter cats you could also interfere with Hedghogs and frogs who are the gardeners friend.
I have problems with cats digging holes, crapping and then covering it back up, I just wish they'd put my spade back when they've done.
try putting a fence around the patch the cat won't go in
: )
they need a place to do their duty! Put in a sand box, the grains are a lot smaller and the cats will prefer that.
