My cat Charlotte has a UTI and of course I took her right to the vet. While the medicine is trying to go through her system she still is peeing everywhere. It is so sad and its exhausting for me to keep cleaning up after her every 15 mins. I was wondering if any of you can suggest at home comfort I can do to help her pee in only a spot or two. I keep her litter box very clean and I do have a mat near her litterbox also to help her go there if she feels like it, but it is only working so much. Any scents or items I should leave out to help curb her from using the couch or my tub (I know, ewww).
The vet told me to just keep an eye on her and make sure to give her plenty of water.

I know where you are coming from. Those are very painful for the animal. I think keeping the cat in one room with litter, water, and food is the best bet. That way you only have to clean out that one room, instead of the whole house. From my experience, it will only last about one day though. Good luck! It is nice to hear about a responsible pet owner.
If I were you, I'd try selecting one room for her to be in for now. That way, she'll be close to the litter pan at all times. Just make sure she has access to food and water too. The meds should start helping with this soon, so you'll probably only have to keep her contained in that room for a few more days.
My puppy had that once-- it was awful. The medicine will start working about 20 hours into it. If u are home allday, I would wrap her in some towels and just hold her all day. If u go out, try putting towels on the bathtub and keeping her in there while u are out. the more water, the faster she will get the germ out. GL!
Hi
There is no seasonal uti's. She's getting them for a reason. The best advice I can give to you iss to stop feeding dry foods. Dry foods don't help for crystals, don't help teeth, has 95% of the moisture zapped out while processing and has much more bacteria then wet foods. Canned food w/o gravy is what is best for all your cats
if you have a small room or a bathroom preferably a place that doesn't have carpet lock her in there with her litter box, and pleanty of water. keep her normal scheduled feeding times and just feed her in there.
