Very lazy cat?

i have a 9 year old black and white cat he has put on tons of weight over the past year because people in my area keep feeding him what can i do i'm stuck!!
Answers:
Print out leaflets with his picture on asking residents in your area to stop feeding him due to overweightness, even if people not in your area are feeding him, at least he's walking there to get food.
Maybe cut right back on the amount of food your giving him.
Play with him,
clip a peg on the end of a string and drag it along the floor, his hunter's instincts will get the better of him.
Get him a light small ball to roll around on the floor, sit on the ground and throw it against the wall repeatedly.

Just do anything to get his heart rate going!
don't let him outside any more.
Yes, keep him inside. He'll eat healthier, won't get diseases from other cats and won't get hit by a vehicle. Indoor cats live a lot longer than outdoor cats. meow 鈽?
Well the very best thing you can do is to secure your cat in your home. Therefore he will only eat what you give him and when you give it to him. You may also want to try buying a Diet brand of cat food. Store brands make diet cat food, so you don't have to spend an arm and a leg on it.

Or, you could politely ask your neighbors to refrain from feeding your cat because he is obese and you would like for him to lose weight for his own health. Remember that 2 pounds extra on a cat is like 20 pounds extra on a human.

Good Luck!
#1 - take your cat to the vet for professional advice.
#2 - play with your cat to ensure that he gets proper exercise.
#3 - control what your pet eats. He is YOUR pet and YOUR responsibility. You need to tell other people NOT to feed your pet.
#4 - ONLY feed your pet proper food - best case scenario, feed him pet food designed with his needs in mind. Probably an older cat formula.
Hey queen: We have so much in common. I have a "healthy" black and white cat too. She loves to go outside and yes I think people feed her but she really likes going out. She doesn't ruin my furniture or swipe at company. Heres my two sense. Why don't you limit her expeditions to three times a week? Then maybe you can let the neighbors know that your baby is on a diet. I think that your neighbors will enjoy helping you out. Folks love cats. As for not letting him go out at all? I think that's just not a great idea. Cats need mental stimulation and exercise. Going outside he probably visits his other cat friends, chases birds and squirrels. Good luck. Meow!
i have a lazy home bound cat :D
if your cat is over weight try to let him out only 3-4 times a week, then go around asking people not to feed him
if hes not loosing weight you can give him some special food.

Good Luck! :D
Keep him inside, and feed him either a weight-loss food or a senior-type food. Give him a high-quality food, such as Innova Senior diet. He will need less food, but will still be getting the nutrition he needs. He will lose weight very slowly, but persevere. And play with him a lot, exercise helps, and will keep him from wanting to go outside. Losing the weight and keeping him indoors will help him to live longer.
